Own and build the in‑house international tax function: manage US sales tax, map and close EU VAT obligations, run German and Luxembourg branch compliance, create a consolidated tax obligations register, liaise with external advisers, support tax provisions for audits, and lead intercompany and transfer pricing reviews as the company expands into new jurisdictions.

📍 London or Remote

Fanvue is one of the fastest-growing creator monetisation platforms globally. We're an AI-powered, creator-first platform helping creators connect, engage, and earn directly from their audiences at scale. Following our recent Series A, Fanvue has surpassed $100M+ in annual recurring revenue, with triple-digit year-on-year growth, supporting hundreds of thousands of creators and millions of fans worldwide.

Paying creators in almost every country and taking payments from fans everywhere means our tax surface area is genuinely complex: EU VAT across multiple jurisdictions, German and Luxembourg branch obligations, US federal and multi-state exposure, withholding on creator earnings, R&D credits, and new obligations opening up as we expand. This role exists to own all of it as a function.

🎯 The Role

We're hiring an International Tax Analyst or Manager to build and own tax as a standalone function, reporting directly to our VP Finance.

The level flexes with the candidate. If you are ready to own a function and spar with a VP Finance as a peer on judgement calls, we will hire at Manager. If you are strong on the technical side and growing into that, Analyst is the right entry point and the path is the same.

This is a build, not a maintenance job. Today tax runs across our VP Finance and a set of external advisers. You will bring it in house, put every obligation on a tracked calendar, and become the person who holds the institutional context rather than paying for it by the query.

You will pick up live work from week one, including our US sales tax estate and the existing adviser relationships.

🚀 What You'll Do
  • Take full ownership of our US sales tax estate: approve returns, progress open state registrations, and become the single owner

  • Map our complete EU VAT obligation across jurisdictions and close any gaps

  • Own the German and Luxembourg branch tax compliance calendar

  • Build one tax obligations register covering VAT, branch, withholding, US sales tax and R&D, with owners and deadlines against each

  • Take point with external advisers so specialist spend goes on genuine judgement rather than routine queries

  • Support tax provisions for our first statutory audit

  • Lead intercompany and transfer pricing review across the group structure

  • Get ahead of new jurisdictions as creator payouts expand, including Canada

👀 Who You Are
  • International or cross-border tax background, with EU VAT as the core and ideally US, German or Luxembourg exposure alongside it

  • Comfortable holding several jurisdictions in your head at once and switching between them

  • Strong instinct for managing external advisers: knowing what to ask, what to challenge, and what to bring in house

  • You absorb institutional context fast, because a lot of it currently lives in people's heads

  • Confident making nexus and registration judgement calls rather than waiting to be told

  • Comfortable that automation handles calculation and filing while the judgement stays with you

  • Ready to build a register, a calendar and a process from a standing start

  • Analyst to Manager level. Tell us which you think you are and we will talk about it

✨ You'll Thrive Here If
  • You want to own a function rather than a slice of one

  • You like turning something reactive into something systematic

  • You want a VP Finance to argue with about judgement calls, not just report to

  • You are motivated by surfacing the exposure nobody knew about

⚠️ You'll Struggle Here If
  • You want a single jurisdiction and a settled compliance calendar

  • You need a senior tax team above you for cover

  • You would rather defer every judgement call to an adviser

  • You are uncomfortable building the process as well as running it

🌍 Why Join Fanvue?
  • Sunday Times Best Places to Work, two years running. We don't just say we have great culture, we prove it

  • Fanvue supports hundreds of thousands of creators and millions of fans globally. The problems you solve here are real and immediate

  • Report directly to our VP Finance and own tax as a function from day one

  • Genuinely complex cross-border work: few companies at our stage offer this breadth of jurisdiction and obligation

  • AI-native: we are not bolting AI on. It is core to our product and how we work

  • Series A momentum: triple-digit growth means the problems you solve today define the platform for years

  • Flexible working with a London office and WeWork access when you want it

  • High annual leave flexibility

  • Salary reviews every six months, we don't wait for annual cycles to recognise your growth

  • Support with upskilling and development costs, including professional qualifications

  • Travel and office budgets for team off-sites or kitting out your home setup

  • Benefits package including gym memberships, apps, and more we're actively building out

⭐ Fanvue is for Everyone

We know that diverse teams build better products. Even if you do not meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. Potential, mindset, and ambition matter just as much as experience.
