JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Network Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with international business partners and clients. This role ensures the network operates effectively across various geographies and product lines, while also managing key contracts and leveraging technology to support multinational programs.
The ideal candidate will come from an international underwriting background with relationships with overseas network contact, fluent in more than one language, and have a diplomatic personality which can act as intermediary between our underwriting teams and network partners.
Preference is for candidate to be located in Chicago and come to the office on a hybrid basis (2-3 days per week) but based on experience we will consider candidates outside of the Chicago market.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Maintains and builds a positive relationship with network clients and local business partners.
2. Maintains a network that works for all geographies (USA, Canada, Europe) and product lines (Commercial and Specialty including working with existing partners, identifying new partners and better utilizing our owned offices.
3. Ensures a compliant, well-run network. Works with legal and ceded reinsurance to manage key contracts with affiliate companies.
4. Works with business units and global partners to establish relationships. Provides guidance and training to others regarding CNA's International Network. Ensures expectations are met by underwriting partners and ensures agreement by all partners.
5. Leverages technology in the management of Multinational programs. Creates tools to better position CNA as an international player.
6. Regularly communicates with network clients and business partners to provide an update onthe company as well as the external marketplace.
7. Represents the team in meetings with management and provides input for management decision making.
8. Evaluates network needs, identifies countries needing representation and coordinates new partners.
9. Identifies educational gaps within the network and resolves issues.
10. Works closely with International Underwriting to communicate changes to ensure understanding.
11. Secures, creates and manages underwriting tools (CNA ComPass™, Fronting Facility Guide, UR form, Global Network Services bulletins, etc.) on behalf of the network.
12. Keeps current on legal issues and regulations, industry activity and trends.

1. Strong business partner and team interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.
2. Industry and company knowledge as well as strong knowledge of the essential functions performed by the team.
3. Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which have an impact on people, costs and quality of service.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical issues in a clear, concise and effective manner.
5.Excellent organizational and analytical skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
6.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and other business-related software systems.
7.Strong customer focus with a mindset towards continuous improvement.
8. Knowledge of underwriting processes, coverages, and tools to gather and evaluate information in order to reach appropriate decisions on international placements.
9. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners within scope of responsibility, team and/or matrix environment.
10.Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
11.Develops action plans for process improvement and drives them to completion.
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent.
2. Typically, a minimum of fouryears of related work experience.

I n certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia , California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois , Maryland , Massachusetts , New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually.Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
