Job Description

The role of Internal Communications Manager for Sales is an exciting and dynamic position at the heart of a high-performing and evolving global sales team. Reporting to the Internal Communications Director, this role involves directly collaborating with sales leadership to design, define, and execute regular internal communications, ensuring all Viva Engage communities focused on sellers are vibrant. This includes articulating team values, key calls to action, celebrating global and regional successes, and highlighting CSR contributions from colleagues and teams. The role will also support the CCO and CRO's executive social media presence.

Alongside these responsibilities, this role will help manage the company’s Viva Engage platform, ensuring communities (both inside and outside the sales function) are vibrant and well managed.

As Sales Internal Communications Manager, you can expect your role to typically involve some or all of the following:

  • Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with the CRO and their senior leadership team
  • Fortnightly news article for CCO
  • Supporting CCO and CRO quarterly All Hands
  • Ensuring organizational initiatives, projects and sales initiatives are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
  • Plan, edit, and write content for various internal communication mediums, including weekly Viva Engage posts, quarterly all-hands meetings, and global town halls
  • Own and be accountable for executive social media postings, creating executive content, and reusing central digital communications aligned with the Executive Communications Strategy
  • Track and monitor communications impact and proactively seek continual feedback from the team and stakeholders.
  • Draft messages or scripts for presentation to employees, customers in written or spoken form
  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages.
  • Promote media coverage into global Sales organization
  • Viva Engage community management and engagement

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, along with the journalistic ability to source stories from employees
  • Perceptiveness to IFS's corporate goals and values, with the ability to relay them to employees.
  • Strong social and relationship-building skills to work across key stakeholders. Confidence to interact with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them.
  • Creative ability to devise effective communication strategies.
  • Knowledge or proven history of working with a dynamic, fast-paced sales team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

Additional Information

Essential Skills:

  • Significant experience in internal communications or a related field.
  • Excellent understanding of communication strategies and best practices.
  • Demonstrable ability to execute communication plans effectively.
  • Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in Communications, Marketing, or a related business field (or relevant training/experience).
  • Proficient at leveraging artificial intelligence to improve job performance.
  • Fluent English. Other languages are always a benefit.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working within a global, virtual environment and matrix organization.
  • Experience with Viva Engage and Microsoft Teams.
  • Video creation and editing.
