Role
Octus - Summer 2026 Editorial Intern (EMEA Staff Writer)
We are seeking a summer intern to work alongside our team of editorial staff writers responsible for publishing breaking news stories on press releases, company announcements, and other public documents across Europe. Ideal for students exploring a career in finance or financial journalism, this role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom and the opportunity to collaborate with our expert editors, journalists, analysts, and lawyers.

Responsibilities
- Write and publish news stories based on company announcements and third-party content across EMEA (with occasional US and APAC coverage as needed).
- Produce timely market coverage and maintain daily news digests and trackers.
- Train in Octus’ editorial workflows, prioritizing our core goals of speed and accuracy.
- Be part of our ongoing AI initiatives which is changing the way in which we work.
- As needed, track press releases, SEC filings, and other public sources for market-moving developments.
Requirements
- An interest in business writing and financial markets.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a focus in journalism, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A self-starter mentality with a strong desire to learn.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Hybrid working with a minimum of three days per week in the office Tuesday - Thursday.
