Intern, Quantitative Research

Are you ready to dive into the fast-paced world of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and work alongside some of the brightest minds in finance? WisdomTree Europe is looking for a motivated full-time intern (6–12 months) to join our Quantitative Research Team in London. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience developing new investment strategies, collaborating on cutting-edge research, and directly impacting how our clients invest around the globe. Over the course of your internship, you’ll also be in charge of a dedicated quantitative project—one you’ll see through from start to finish!

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate on Research Projects: Support the day-to-day activities of our Research desk, contributing to both ongoing tasks and special projects.
• Build Data & Tech Infrastructure: Develop and enhance data pipelines and quantitative tools that power WisdomTree’s research efforts across the company.
• Analyse Portfolios: Use your analytical expertise to break down portfolios, understand their impact on different investment goals, and communicate key insights.
• Lead Academic Research: Participate in academic-style research that helps build our brand within the European market, showcasing innovative investment ideas.
• Craft Next-Gen Strategies: Engage in rigorous quantitative research to refine existing strategies or create entirely new ones—perfect for clients across multiple regions in Europe.

What We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: You’re on track for a Master’s degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science, or a Machine Learning/AI-oriented discipline.
• Finance & Derivatives Know-How: A solid grasp of financial mathematics and derivatives sets you up for success.
• Quantitative Chops: You love crunching numbers and can confidently handle complex data.
• Coding Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential; familiarity with tools like Bloomberg or Morningstar is a plus.
