Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to core banking operations, basic KYC & compliance tasks, and regulatory processes within a fast-paced financial environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in executing first line of defence controls, including client onboarding, document review, and data quality checks
- Support document vetting processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Participate in client communications related to onboarding queries, clarifications, and escalations
- Coordinate and escalate issues to internal stakeholders as appropriate
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the BCRM Team
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the BCRM Team
Required knowledge, skills, and experience
- A good level of communication in Maltese and English
- Good knowledge of IT tools
- Strong organization, planning and prioritizing skills to execute the planned controls
- Excellent eye for detail with heavy focus on accuracy and delivery
- Excellent reactive capacities and problem-solving capacities
- Capability to work autonomously and independently, but also have the awareness of when to consult Manager or Senior Manager
