Job Description

Are you motivated by big ideas and driven by being part of an organization dedicated to helping our clients achieve the exceptional? At Aucerna we are transforming the way our clients make planning and execution decisions in the dynamic oil and gas industry. Our London development team is looking for developers who are inspired by challenge.

What We Will Do Together

  • You will solve complex problems, innovate and be part of a team that is going to leverage cloud platforms, orchestration tools, and containerization.

  • As we pursue a cloud-native strategy we are evolving existing enterprise applications to multi-tenanted, scalable SaaS apps. In parallel ,Windows Desktop (WPF) front-ends will be replaced with HTML5/JS web applications with .NET CORE WebAPIs on the back-end. Tasks will range from building JavaScript SPAs using modern frameworks, middle-tier business logic on server side using C#, and profiling and optimising SQL Server performance.

  • We will foster an environment where you will share your knowledge and those around you will too. We think it’s important for you to grow and provide dedicated support to help you get there.

  • We will focus on quality in our products with techniques like SOLID principles, pair programming, peer reviews, TDD, unit and integration testing.

Additional Information

Things to Consider

  • You should have a strong foundation in Enterprise application (back-end and Web API) development using .NET C# (ideally) or Java, and front-end development in JavaScript. Any more languages than that are a bonus.

  • Our applications handle large volumes of data – you will consider performance and resilience in all development work.

  • Are you focused on the quality of your work? Of course you are, you’ve done this before. You are meticulous and it shows in your work ethic and you have crafted high quality software products built on sound code and SOLID software development practices that you are proud to have your name associated with.

  • We are a highly collaborative, flexible team that strives for continuous improvements.

  • You have kept up to date on new technologies including cloud-based platforms. You might have experience with tools and platforms like Docker, Azure and Kubernetes to deliver hosted application. If you don’t, you are excited and ready to figure it out.

  • You value integrity, live by an ethos of respecting others and you bring that into your work.
