About the Role
Reporting into the Head of Finance for Cost Transformation and Investment. The Senior Finance Manager for Cost Transformation and Investment will be a valued and trusted advisor and play a key role in forecasting, reporting, and influencing better financial outcomes in relation to PXCs Strategy
Through your ability to articulate financial results clearly and concisely, your role will provide insight into PXCs financial performance in respect to Capex and Cashflow. You will make recommendations, balancing support, and constructive challenge to business partner members of Group Change, ELT & SLT.
Key responsibilities in the role include:
- Importantly, this role is largely autonomous and self-directed. You will have support from the Head of Finance, you must be a self-starter, with an excellent commercial understanding and the ability to build trusted business partnering relationships, to succeed.
- This role involves supporting on the contract management of resource usage against Minimum Commitment with a third party supplier
- Business Partner to the Wholesale Operation Programme Managers to report, challenge and influence
- The role includes reporting actuals and forecasts of Capex and Cash Capex with feedback into Exco, input into Financial Planning and Analysis teams, as well as the Senior Leadership Team
- You will be the lead finance support through the business planning process, and in the submission of rolling reforecasts for Capex and Cash Capex, across PXC. Including review and challenge with Executive Leadership.
- You will contribute to and run the Capex Risk & Opportunities, including challenge to initiatives and assumptions
- A key responsibility of the Senior Finance Business Partner for Group Change is owning the Capex Committee governance process, ensuring PXC remain financially compliant through external audit scrutiny.
- Your knowledge of capex accounting will be required to scrutinise accounting treatment and ensure accuracy of Group Capex reporting. This should extend to new and emerging technologies in the cloud.
- You will play a key role in the annual business planning process, supporting prioritisation and demand activity
- The role is Business Partner to Programme Managers and Executive Leadership attendees on Capex Committee (CTO and CMPO)
About You
- You will be a qualified finance manager with excellent commercial understanding and the ability to build trusted business partnering relationships and ability to influence and manage relationships including Exco level.
- Technical knowledge of capex accounting, and through owning the capex committee governance process, you will ensure PXC remain financially compliant through audit scrutiny.
- Experience working within a large corporate business, understanding the specifics role of individual Business units and their alignments and interdependencies within a group function.
- Proven ability to work proactively and autonomously.
- Experience in forecasting, reporting, and influencing better financial outcomes.
- Ability to articulate financial results clearly and concisely.
