To drive immediate operational efficiency and scalability during a period of rapid growth, we require an experienced Interim Operations Director. This critical role demands a strategic, action-oriented leader to quickly assess and optimize our global Operations, specifically Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Logistics. The interim director will be responsible for rapidly implementing strategies to address current operational bottlenecks and lay the groundwork for future expansion, ensuring seamless execution and supplier collaboration. The Role

Your daily to-dos might look like this:

  • Budget Management: Oversee the supply chain budget, including inventory management, operational spend, and cost of goods. Drive cost efficiencies while maintaining high operational standards. 
  • Global Procurement & Supplier Strategy: Lead global procurement and supplier strategy, balancing cost, quality, innovation, ESG, and reliability. Build strong supplier relationships to support long-term growth.  
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain, ensuring it is efficient, resilient, and adaptable. Lead strategic initiatives for inventory management, supply planning, and supplier performance.  
  • Logistics & Distribution Network Optimization: Develop and implement an efficient and scalable distribution and warehousing strategy to support multi-channel growth and geographical expansion. Manage logistics partners (3PL & transportation) and optimize logistics supplier selection and contracting.  
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with internal control processes, and drive ESG initiatives within the supply chain.  
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation. Lead the organization through operational transformations as the business scales. 
  • Strategic Supply Chain Leadership: Develop and implement a 3-year supply chain roadmap aligned with company growth objectives. Ensure scalability, efficiency, and alignment with overall business goals.  
Requirements
  • Proven experience in several global roles within Supply Chain (Procurement, Supply Planning or Project management) and demonstrated track record of career progression  
  • Leadership experience (Head Of or Director level)
  • Must have in-depth experience with in the beauty industry with strong knowledge of suppliers (third party manufacturing & packaging) 
  • Good overview of end to end supply chain in cosmetics (from product development, procurement, supply planning to delivery) demonstrating interest and knowledge of the products 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, action oriented and not afraid to get their hands dirty to give their teams a hand while also being a strategic thinker 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team building, coaching, and performance management as well as the ability to grow, inspire and scale teams within a high growth environment.
  • Self starter, you are results oriented, able to identify opportunities & gather teams to help deliver on those 
  • Thrive in fast paced environments with high levels of growth & change
