R_297672 - Insurer Consulting Leader

We are seeking a talented individual to join our ICG team at Marsh. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

ICG’s role and scope means that it is unique within Marsh in that it interacts horizontally across every practice and vertically through the organisational structure.  As such it allows its team members to gain a very broad understanding of the business issues and strategic objectives not only of Marsh UK and its individual practices but also those of the carriers. In a very short period of time a Carrier Executive is able to develop a comprehensive understanding of the insurance market landscape both from a broker and carrier perspective and how strategic decisions can impact both parties. They will learn insights and knowledge that is normally only afforded to senior execs of organisations who are party to such meetings / discussions. 

  

We will count on you to:

  • Develop a deep understanding of MMC’s strategies / initiatives and those of the carriers in the wider insurance market. 
  • Participate in industry events to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company. 
  • Develop strong relationships with counterparts and senior executives at the carriers. 
  • Develop strong internal network across all Marsh Practices and throughout the organisational structure. 
  • Senior point of contact for day-to-day communications with internal and external stakeholders including face to face meetings and market events 
  • Manage individual projects to completion and in time, supervise junior colleagues in the completion of projects. 
  • Develop and maintain a fluency in respect of Marsh’s and carrier’s products, colleagues and operations. 
  • Report to senior colleagues on relationship satisfaction / dissatisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with senior level colleagues and product specialists to identify account needs and opportunities to determine potential services, products and combinations that will best serve and address carrier business objectives.

  • Insurance Carrier management expertise
  • People manager duties such as a daily point of contact, regular 121s and oversight of team members. 
  • Project management of large initiatives in conjunction with carriers.
