About this role
We are seeking a highly analytical, curious and creative Insight Manager to join our growing Marketing team. This pivotal new role will be instrumental in driving our efforts to surface market-leading insights from our rich audience data, transforming them into compelling narratives that drive advertiser engagement across the Ozone platform. This role plays a key part in shaping how Ozone communicates its unique value proposition to the advertising industry across the globe.
Responsibilities
Insight generation & storytelling
- Proactively identify, extract, and analyse audience insights from Ozone's proprietary data sets, translating this data into clear, concise and persuasive narratives for advertisers.
- Develop compelling case studies, insights to power thought leadership pieces, and sales collateral that showcase the power of Ozone's audience and platform.
- Work closely with the sales teams to understand their needs and tailor insights to specific client challenges and opportunities.
Market & industry expertise
- Stay abreast of relevant industry currencies, data sources, and research methodologies (e.g., industry benchmarks, competitor analysis, consumer trends) to inform and enhance Ozone's insight offering.
- Actively research and evaluate emerging trends and data opportunities within the advertising, publishing, and technology sectors.
Insight product development & packaging
- Simplify, package, and market insights effectively for various audiences, ensuring clarity, impact, and commercial relevance.
- Identify gaps in Ozone's existing storytelling and recommend, scope, and potentially commission proprietary research to fill these gaps.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of Ozone's insight series, exploring new formats and delivery channels.
International expansion
- Contribute to the extension of Ozone's insight series beyond the UK market, with a particular focus on the USA.
- Adapt existing insights and develop new ones to resonate with international advertising audiences.
Publisher insights
- Work with internal teams to distil key insights from the publisher side of the business and package them effectively for our publisher partners, demonstrating value and partnership opportunities.
Collaboration & communication
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across data science, product, commercial, and marketing teams – in particular fostering close working practices with Strategic Solutions
- Present insights confidently and articulately to internal teams, external clients, and industry events.
Required experience/ skills
- Proven experience in an insights-focused role within the advertising, media, technology, or research industries.
- Demonstrable experience in analysing complex datasets and translating them into actionable, commercially relevant insights.
- String storytelling abilities, with a proven track record of packaging and presenting insights in a compelling and persuasive manner.
- Great understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, including audience data, targeting, and measurement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Curious, analytical, and commercially minded, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms.
- Experience in formulating insights for multiple international markets is desirable, as is experience in the commissioning of proprietary research.
