The Opportunity:
Avantor (VWR) is looking for a replacement for an internal promotion within our Internal Sales Team, this is common practise as this department feeds the future sales talent of the business offering career progression – Account Manager, Strategic Partner, Field Sales and more.
Flexibility is offered, you can choose to be full-time office (excluding customer visits), hybrid, or remote (depending on your location).
Training is continuous, both sales skills and product training, ensuring career success is achievable. You will be assigned a generous customer base, an opportunity for you to harvest solid and enjoyable relationships, and secure new and repeat business. With pricing negotiation authority, you have true accountability to close orders.
A full clean UK driving license is essential, whilst most of your role will be via telephone, you do have the opportunity to visit customers on a nationwide basis, when required.
The Team:
The Internal Sales Team consists of 11 associates supporting the UK and Northern Ireland customer base. The team is accountable for sales activities, conducting 15 quantitative conversations per day (from your dedicated customer list), converting to 10 opportunities.
What we’re looking for

Education: BA/BSc or equivalent in a Science or Business discipline, desirable, not essential

Experience: previous sales in a Business-to-Business environment or a desire and determination to work in a B2B sales environment

Strong commercial acumen

Negotiation skills and drive to work in a targeted sales environment

Required Languages: Fluent in written and verbal English
