The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Information Security team at ION. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SOC2 compliance and possess excellent client-facing skills. This role is critical in ensuring our company adheresto regulatory requirements and maintaints the trsut of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in accordance with ISO 27001 standards. Knowledge of SOC2 is beneficial.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and certifications are maintained.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client audit requirements, requests for information, any compliance-related inquiries, new business engagements and maintaining security whitepapers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on compliance metrics and trends to senior management.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and requirements.
- Proven experience in a client-facing role, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar are a plus.
