It is our belief that the better we work together to help our clients achieve their goals, the more successful XR will be.

The Opportunity

Extreme Reach (XR) is seeking an Information Designer to join our XRIQ Product Team. In this role, you will drive the design of how creative intelligence is experienced, shaping how data and insights are presented, consumed, and acted upon by our customers. You will work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and data teams to develop intuitive and impactful ways to communicate complex advertising insights. You will choose the best format for each audience and context, whether it is dashboards, reports, interactive visuals, or other mediums.

XRIQ brings together data across the creative lifecycle, from the inception of a brand idea to its impact on an audience. It uses AI-powered analysis to provide actionable insights that improve advertising effectiveness. Your work will be essential in helping brands and agencies interpret and apply data-driven insights to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and grow their brands. As an Information Designer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into intuitive, impactful, and actionable information, helping advertisers make smarter creative decisions.

If you are passionate about the intersection of design, data, and storytelling, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Designing Information Experiences: Design intuitive and effective ways to communicate insights, making complex data easier to understand and act upon. This could include interactive visualizations, concise summaries, presentations, or structured reports, ensuring each format aligns with the audience’s needs and context.
  • Information Architecture & Prototyping: Define how information should be structured and prioritized within different mediums. You will create wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes to test and refine how insights are delivered before final implementation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers to understand user needs and business goals, data teams to ensure insights are accurate and actionable, and engineers to bring designs to life.
  • Insight Communication & Storytelling: Transform complex data into digestible, meaningful narratives. Whether through a concise one-line insight, an interactive dashboard element, or a structured report, you will ensure users can quickly grasp the key takeaways and act accordingly.
  • Consistency & Innovation: Maintain and refine a design system for insight presentation, ensuring a cohesive approach across all XRIQ touchpoints. Stay ahead of trends in information design and data visualization, suggesting new ways to enhance user engagement with our insights.
  • Iteration & Feedback: Gather input from users and internal teams to refine how we deliver information. Use usability testing, feedback loops, and data-driven evaluations to continuously improve the effectiveness of our designs.
Requirements
  • Experience & Education: 3-5 years of experience in information design, data visualization, or UX design with a data focus. Bachelor's degree in graphic design, UX/UI Design, Visual Communication, Information Science, or a related field.
  • Data Visualization & BI Tools: Proficiency with tools like Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms for presenting data-driven insights. Basic SQL skills or experience collaborating with data teams is a plus.
  • Design & Prototyping Tools: Strong skills in Figma/Adobe (or equivalent) for designing information layouts.
  • User-Centered Design Thinking: Experience in information architecture, UX research, and designing data-rich experiences that prioritize usability and clarity.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to translate technical data into clear, compelling narratives and collaborate across product, data, and engineering teams.
  • Attention to Detail & Adaptability: Ability to ensure accuracy in data presentation while adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advertising/Marketing Experience: Familiarity with advertising metrics, creative analytics, or media performance data is a plus.
  • Data Storytelling & Writing: Ability to craft compelling written narratives that accompany visual insights to enhance clarity and actionability.
  • Interactive & Coding Skills: Experience with D3.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS or other interactive visualization tools is beneficial but not required.
