Field-Based Doors Engineer
What You Will Do

As a Field-Based Doors Engineer, you’ll service, install, and repair door systems across the UK. You’ll work in diverse environments—schools, retail spaces, warehouses, manufacturing sites, and residential buildings—ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. You’ll contribute to our Zero Harm culture and support team performance through technical excellence and excellent customer service.
How You Will Do It

  • Service, install, repair, and fault-find on a range of door systems
  • Apply risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe working practices
  • Use electrical knowledge to support diagnostics and repairs
  • Complete service reports and handover documentation accurately
  • Collaborate with planning and operations to manage workload and priorities
  • Deliver a first-class customer experience through problem-solving and clear communication
  • Participate in the Out-of-Hours (OOH) call-out rota as required

What We’re Looking For
Essential:

  • Proven experience servicing, repairing, and installing door systems
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay overnight
  • Familiarity with safe systems of work and PPE usage

Preferred:

  • Intermediate to advanced fault-finding and commissioning skills
  • Health & Safety certifications (IPAF, PASMA, competency card)
  • Electrical qualification
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manage complex installations
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PDF) for reports
