Our dynamic tax team is seeking a highly motivated experienced professional to join our bustling London office. As part of a global organization, you will collaborate with colleagues from around the world and across various business functions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a team-oriented mindset, and a passion for thriving in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.


What you’ll do:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Americas & EMEA indirect tax across the Group.
  • Provide a proactive indirect tax perspective on business initiatives, procurement, supply chain structuring, telecommunications infrastructure, cloud and data center deployments, and cross-border operations.
  • Drive technology-based improvements to enhance indirect tax processes, improve efficiency, and reduce compliance risks.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate indirect tax accruals, provisions, and financial statement impacts as well as strengthen internal controls over indirect tax processes.
  • Own indirect tax registrations, compliance, filings, and reconciliations across the US & EMEA, leveraging outside service providers where appropriate.
  • Lead indirect tax audits and controversy matters, prepare documentation, manage information requests, and drive efficient resolutions.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Engineering, and Wireless Operations on contractual tax clauses, vendor taxability, cross-border place-of-supply rules, logistics, customs/import VAT, and planning for globally distributed infrastructure.
  • Identify and assess the impact of indirect tax developments on the organization, providing strategic guidance and solutions to mitigate risks or leverage opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors for complex indirect tax matters and audits.
  • Assist senior tax leaders in mentoring and developing team members, fostering a high-performing and knowledgeable group of tax professionals.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

Skills you'll need:

  • At least seven years of indirect tax experience, preferably either in the financial services industry or serving global financial services clients.
  • Deep knowledge of global indirect tax frameworks around supply chain, telecommunications, and financial services.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and tax technology, ideally within Netsuite.
  • Proven experience researching indirect tax opportunities/issues and communicating results.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team to define and resolve issues.
  • Exhibit good judgment in ambiguous situations; resilient, flexible, and conscientious.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an inquisitive mind.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and build strong relationships across teams and departments within and outside the organization.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Impeccable ethics, integrity, and ability to work with confidential information are required.
