As an Indirect Tax Lead - Brazil you will support the specific language requirements. Managing the Brazilian calculation, filing, payment and reconciliation of Indirect Taxes at Global Tax Center.
 

As an Indirect Tax Lead - Brazil, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling and oversee all wing-to-wing tax reporting and tax accounting processes to ensure compliance, integrity and transparency.

  • Forecasting payments and monetization, tax provisions based on aging policy, and settlements.

  • Reviewing and approval of tax calculations, account reconciliations in Blackline, tax payments, tax compensations, tax return submission and other related tasks.

  • Advising functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own field.

  • Handling clear communication with direct colleagues and the business stakeholders about projects, issues and risks.

  • Coordinating tax audit requirements along with Regional Tax Team.

  • Leading and coordinate projects for improvement in the processes, as well as provide technical guidance to team members.

  • Developing and grow team members providing guidance, trainings and timely feedback.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a BSc in a related subject or demonstrate, good, equivalent, similar work experience (Finance/ Law).

  • Have minimum of 7 years of experience in Brazilian Indirect Taxation.

  • Have ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISSQN, INSS, IRRF and PCC - knowledge about IOF taxes will be an added advantage.

  • Have experience working at a multinational company/ Big 4 companies.

  • Have knowledge about systems, processes and technology (SAP, Blackline, Tax One or other).

  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills, with good spoken and written in Portuguese and English.
