Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our Haywards Heath team. Based on-site, you will be the primary HR point of contact for the UK business - managing the full employee lifecycle, ensuring employment law compliance and acting as a trusted partner to managers and leaders across the site. You will work closely with the Head of HR & L&D, based in Dublin, supporting group-wide people initiatives while managing day-to-day UK HR operations with a high degree of autonomy. The role sits within a small, collaborative HR team spanning Ireland, the UK and Poland, playing an important part in shaping a consistent employee experience across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage UK employee relations end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence cases, providing timely and legally sound advice to line managers.
- Own UK recruitment activity from briefing through to onboarding, ensuring a consistent and professional candidate and new hire experience.
- Maintain current UK employment law compliance across contracts, policies, and HR practices, including GDPR and data subject rights obligations.
- Produce HR reports and dashboards using Excel and BambooHR, tracking key workforce metrics and translating data into actionable insights.
- Support delivery of the group performance management cycle and work with the L&D function to identify and coordinate development activity for UK employees.
- Administer UK benefits and payroll changes, manage offboarding, and maintain accurate employee records throughout.
- Lead local engagement initiatives and act as a visible, accessible HR presence at the Haywards Heath site.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' generalist HR experience, ideally within an SME or professional services environment
- CIPD qualified (Level 5 minimum; Level 7 desirable)
- Solid, current knowledge of UK employment law with confidence managing complex ER cases independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the credibility to influence managers at all levels
- Self-directed and organised, with the ability to operate effectively as part of a geographically dispersed HR team
