About the Role

We're looking for our first EMEA HR Generalist to join our newly established UK team to help shape an outstanding employee experience. You'll work closely with our Global People team and local leadership as the point person for the HR team in the region.


This role is perfect for someone who thrives on managing the HR fundamentals within the region and loves creating unique employee experiences. You’ll play a key role in refining our processes, supporting our people and building the foundation for a world-class employee experience as Decagon continues to grow.


As a founding member of the People team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, experiment and make a meaningful impact on how our People function evolves.

What You'll Do
  • Own in region employee onboarding and off-boarding to ensure a seamless employee experience.

  • Collaborate closely with the global and local talent teams to assure they are informed on any people related changes or enhancements.

  • Support the global team on any benefit or leave related items within region

  • Serve as a first point of contact for local employee inquiries - helping team members navigate policies, systems, and processes.

  • Drive global performance and engagement programs including review cycles and feedback processes within the region.

  • Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and spear strategic initiatives.

  • Contribute ideas as we design and scale new People programs and policies to assure we are being locally sensitive.

Who You Are
  • 4+ year of experience in HR, People Operations, or Administration

  • Serve as an expert in your field within the United Kingdom and across broader European landscape

  • Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities at once.

  • Knowledge of fundamental HR practices including employment law, compensation, hiring, performance management, coaching, and employee relations for the region

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be resourceful.

  • Discretion and professionalism handling confidential information.

  • Naturally collaborative, with a growth mindset and curiosity to learn.

  • Excited to join as a founding member of a growing People Department at a fast-scaling company.

  • Open to being based in office several days per week
