HR Workday Adviser
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 35 hours per week is full time. Where possible, we are open to considering part time/flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.

Reporting to: HR Workday Partner

About Us:
The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in UK financial services. Every day we help resolve disputes between consumers, or small businesses, and their financial service providers.
What You’ll Do:
As an HR Workday Adviser, you will play a central role in maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of our Workday platform. You will provide expert support to professional users within HR, helping to ensure Workday is well-governed, intuitive to use, and capable of meeting the organisation’s evolving needs.
You will hold/develop specialist expertise in specific Workday functional areas, lead on simplifying and documenting HR processes, and work closely with colleagues across HR, Finance, IT and business analytics to drive adoption. You will also support the implementation of new Workday products, shaping business requirements into effective system configuration and helping the organisation make the most of its Workday investment.
Working with the HR Workday Partner, you will help ensure the HR team is confident and capable in its use of Workday, supporting training, testing and continuous improvement.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities. You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria:
Minimum Criteria
- Experience using Workday as an HR user and designing business processes for one or more functional areas
- Strong understanding of HR processes and best practice
- Experience developing and delivering training and user guidance for Workday or other HR systems
- A solid background of leading on small projects involving stakeholders from different business areas.
- Proactive self-starter with a tenacity for building own knowledge quickly

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Adaptability and a positive approach to change
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks
- Confidence working with colleagues at all levels, adapting your communication style as needed
- Resilience and tenacity when working under pressure
- Workday certification
- CIPD qualification (Level 5), or a willingness to work towards this
