Role Summary:
As HR Advisory Lead, you will lead client engagements focused on strategic people initiatives and operational HR excellence. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to executive teams across a diverse client base, delivering services that span HR strategy, employee experience, policy design, and HR technology. You will also guide clients in selecting and implementing modern HR tools and systems, helping them make informed investments that support their people and business goals.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role for someone who combines deep HR expertise with strong consulting instincts and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of HR advisory projects across a wide range of industries, tailoring strategies to each client’s goals, size, and maturity.
- Advise clients on HR transformation, people operations, and organisational effectiveness — from policy and process design, organisation design and transformation programme mobilisation.
- Bring HR functional expertise across the HR process life-cycle.
- Evaluate clients’ current HR systems and tools; recommend fit-for-purpose technology solutions (e.g. HRIS, ATS, performance, or engagement platforms).
- Build compelling business cases for HR technology investment, including ROI modelling, vendor assessments, and implementation planning.
- Oversee and mentor project teams or junior consultants, ensuring delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate on internal practice development, service innovation, and content creation.
- Maintain deep knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and emerging trends in workforce technology and design.
- Cultivate our alliance partnerships with leading HR technology vendors to understand current and future capability to advise our clients.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of HR transformation experience, with at least 4 years in a consulting or client-facing role.
- Strong understanding of HR strategy, systems, and compliance across various organisational contexts.
- Experience working with global, complex organisations and transformation programmes.
- Experience building compelling business cases for HR tech adoption or transformation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
- Confidence working independently, managing multiple client projects and priorities.
- Sound knowledge of employment law and people operations (UK or other relevant jurisdictions).
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
- A 2:1 or above from a globally recognised University
- HR qualifications, ideally CIPD level 5 or similar
- Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2
