What you will be doing:
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Chief Controls office (CCO), a dedicated first line risk and control function. This role has arisen to provide dedicated focus to the Human Resources (HR) Transformation programme as the process engineer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and actively contribute to the design and capture of core processes formed as part of this programme.
As part of the CCO team, you will play a key role:
- Provide representation and key point of contact for the BPM team on the HR Transformation programme.
- Actively contribute and identify areas across the programme where CCO input and engagement is required, including but not limited to optimal process design and mapping of target state processes.
- Working closely with programme counterparts and stakeholders providing value add input and supporting the success of the programme.
- Providing clear and timely updates to the BPM Manager and Head of BRC on programme engagement, progress, emerging risks and issues.
- Working closely with the BAU BPM team to maintain a clear and up to date understanding of standard practices, scope and methodology for business process management.
- Working closely with the BRC HR Risk & Controls SME to keep in lock step around risk identification and development of key and non-key controls.
What we’re looking for:
The role would suit candidates with 2LOD/3LOD experience looking for an opportunity to move into 1LOD, or candidates with 1LOD control/ control remediation/ validation experience.
The candidate is a key member of the CCO team who will work closely with 1LOD business owners in the management of risk and controls. This includes but not limited to:
Business Process Mapping
- Lead and engage multiple stakeholder groups in workshops to map cross-functional processes based on a defined standard (BPMN 2.0)
- Take ownership for delivery against programme deliverables and timelines
- Ensure progress updates are communicated effectively to Senior Management at regular intervals.
Business process design
- Contribute to process design working groups as a process subject matter expert.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with the 1LOD business unit and programme stakeholders to support a successful transformation of the Human resources function.
- Represent CCO in working groups as required.
Competencies required for successful job performance:
- Experience in business analysis and process mapping using Microsoft Visio or other workflow tools
- Experience in working in Financial Services or Consultancy.
- Previous ownership of operational/ corporate improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources operations and procoesses
- Strong communication skills: ability to articulate and adapt approach to Senior Management, being comfortable addressing and standing up to challenge
- Strong team player: demonstrates success with working with individuals at all levels within an organization. Collaborative in style and approach
- Strong organizational skills: disciplined with an ability to multi-task across departments while articulating a consistent message regarding the programme of work
- Quality minded with strength in attention to detail
- Can self-manage and self-motivate
- Maintain integrity in all interactions, recognizing that change can sometimes disrupt the established norms
Professional qualifications / certifications
- Qualifications in any of the following specialisms would be beneficial but not essential:
- Operating Model design and development
- Business Analysis
- Lean Six Sigma
- Proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
