In order to further strengthen our international HR team, we are looking for a HR Manager to join the GB team.

Scope of the Role

This role reports in matrix structure to the Director International HR and partners closely with the Managing Director UK. Being a key position for the country team, this position holds strategic and operational responsibilities for all HR matters of our business in the UK.

This role will improve HR processes and advice stakeholders on relevant HR guidelines + requirements based on local labour laws to facilitate the development of the UK business. The broader scope can be defined as follows:

  • Lead all HR activities in the UK by providing valuable HR contribution through effective talent management, capabilities building, engagement, effective employer branding management and guidance through the whole lifecycle of an employee
  • Manage payroll for the country team, supported by an external service provider
  • Manage specific HR projects from A to Z in close collaboration with HR Systems and HR Expertise teams, like Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding, Learning & Development, Diversity & Engagement, Compensation & Benefits, etc

This role will be based in central London (Great Portland Street) with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, if the position holder works full-time. Office days are Tuesday to Thursday.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sparring partner to the Managing Director UK and the country management team
  • Work with the global HR Team to implement relevant HR strategies and programs to improve organizational performance, engagement and efficiency
  • Manage monthly payroll with external provider and ensure that all employees are paid on time and accurately
  • Sparring partner of hiring managers in selection processes in close collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team
  • Ensure proper onboarding of new joiners including regular follow up with hiring managers
  • Identify development and capability needs, coordinate training and development programs, organise and deliver local trainings and workshops if needed
  • Ensure local HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and in line with local legislation
  • Act as a link between managers and employees by helping to solve work-related issues through coaching, mentoring, support in performance management, developing the employees
  • Co-drive engagement activities with leaders and coordinate regular townhalls, team events and arrangements
  • Accurate and timely workforce planning and HR reporting

Profile

  • University degree in HR
  • 7 to 10 years of generalist HR and Business Partner experience, ideally within a consumer products, industrial, or retail company
  • CIPD qualification
  • Experience in a transforming and/or high growth environment in matrix organization
  • Comprehensive, proven HR experience, demonstrating the ability to structure and manage all operational HR matters, develop attractive HR policies and ensure compliance, talent attraction & retention, talent development & training plans, compensation & benefits
  • Experience in using Workday is an advantage
