The Employee Relations Center of Excellence (CoE) is our team of subject matter experts on all things employee relations and human resources compliance. The team helps make TransUnion a positive and compliant company to work for by staying in touch with labor laws, making policy changes, and executing on programs that support, educate, and enable TransUnion associates to succeed.
This role assists TransUnion’s HR Compliance function in the Employee Relations CoE. You will be responsible for supporting the proper administration and consistent enforcement of employment policies and practices to maintain a compliant work environment where all employees and applicants can succeed. You will conduct thorough investigations of sensitive workplace issues and reach impartial conclusions. And you will help execute strategic HR initiatives, programs, and training to maintain a positive work environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of Human Resources compliance and EEO experience.
  • Professional experience conducting complex workplace investigations and responding to EEO-related allegations.
  • In depth understanding of relevant employment laws and guidelines related to harassment, retaliation, and employment rights (EEO, Title VII, ADA, FMLA), as well as HR best practices.
  • Considerable judgment and discretion in confidential and highly sensitive situations.
  • Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a larger, cross-functional team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or a combination of relevant experience and education in lieu of a bachelor's degree will be considered. A Master's Degree or legal experience is highly preferred.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Conduct objective HR investigations of sensitive workplace issues, including allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Prepare comprehensive investigation reports, including analysis of the facts and interpretation of policies, and make recommendations to mitigate organizational risk. Advise on findings of improper workplace conduct and violations of company polices.
  • Provide investigation support in complex and escalated situations, including matters managed by the Corporate Investigations and Information Security departments, to help facilitate equitable outcomes.
  • Review and advise on workplace conflict of interest issues.
  • Prepare reports to fulfill annual reporting requirements including affirmative action planning, OFCCP, and VETS-100 reporting.  Advise on affirmative action program changes based on reporting results.
  • Assist in responding to internal and external employment-related requests, audits, reviews, and other inquiries. 
  • Consult on employment screening processes, including background checks, reasonable suspicion, and FCRA compliance.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $82,700.00 - $120,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
