Overview:

Partners directly with all levels in a strategic and hands-on role to develop and execute the Human Resources deliverables for respective office. Self-starter, able to influence and drive change, to deal with ambiguity and to demonstrate results to the business. Possesses and applies a diversified knowledge of human resources principles, practices and procedures to complete assignments with originality and ingenuity.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages the implementation of respective office’s Talent strategy as part of the HKS strategic plan
  • Assists in collaborating on special projects with the global Talent team by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities, coordinating requirements and change, ensuring completion
  • Develops and updates policies, manuals and guidelines to keep up with business and regulatory changes in line with HKS values and to guide office leadership and employee actions
  • Ensures compliance with national legal requirements, industry regulations and trade union requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising leadership on needed actions
  • Supports office leadership by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions by synthesis of available data, professional knowledge and experience
  • Coaches employees through aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruiting to onboarding to employee inquiries to termination
  • Partners with leadership and employees on the handling of employee relations and sensitive personnel matters
  • Coordinates the office’s Talent Acquisition processes
  • Prepares necessary paperwork and documentation for formal procedures in respective office such as employment contracts, onboarding, exit, flexible working, employment contract change, disciplinary and grievance
  • Completes compensation research and benchmarking for new and existing employees in collaboration with respective HR manager
  • Counsels leaders and employees on performance management strategies and plans for respective office in collaboration with Talent team
  • Implements & administers a benefit plan that supports the attraction and retention of talent
  • Leads on office immigration matters and maintains country-specific sponsorship licenses & records in collaboration with respective HR manager
  • Provides periodic reports to leadership on employee metrics and data for respective office, such as employee turnover as needed
  • Ensures compliance with payroll, pension and benefits in-kind legislation and ensures the collation of Talent data for statutory and benefit reports
  • Stays current with overall human resources trends and best practices and provides feedback to HR leadership
  • Endorses the firm’s cultural values, including a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and growth
  • Facilitates team’s self-evaluation to distill and distribute lessons learned within the firm, in collaboration with leadership
  • Actively invests in the professional development of staff through mentoring, performance management and career planning to develop office-specific Professional Development programmes and plans in collaboration with Professional Development team
  • Develops, recognizes, recruits and grows diverse talent
  • Mediates and manages conflict effectively and encourages a healthy team environment
  • Seeks leadership opportunities by providing direction and feedback to team members and collaborating with team leaders
  • Collaborates to develop policies and programs that support the firm’s commitment to JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion)
  • Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices
  • Coordinates office-specific human resources budgets across benefits & professional development
  • Works with Payroll team to provide office input and country specific compliance advice for payroll system
  • Assists in Resource Management
  • Collaborates in and may be responsible for delivering a project on defined budget requirements
  • Develops compelling, accurate, and appropriate responses to Talent related questions for office’s marketing and business development bids and competitions
  • Participates in conferences and cultivates speaking opportunities to raise the profile of the firm
  • Develops professional networks; participates in professional organisations and acts as an ambassador for HKS
  • Collaborates with leadership to support the growth of the business
  • Maintains and cultivates essential relationships

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Local HR certification required
  • International HR certification preferred
  • Typically with 8+ years of related experience
  • Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel
  • Knowledge of Adobe software including InDesign and Illustrator to create and edit presentations and reports preferred
  • Strong knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and respective employment laws for the office
  • Experience in logistics management including connecting people and resources to the right place at the right time
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to proactively problem solve and collaborate on innovative solutions
  • Ability to collaborate and encourage collaboration in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritise work
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
