Join us as an HR Business Consultant

  • This is a full-time, hybrid position based in London, Edinburgh, or Manchester coming into the office at least 2 days per week
What you'll do

As an HR Business Consultant, you’ll support organisation design (OD), strategic workforce planning (SWP), and key people projects, taking ownership of your work and delivering high‑quality outputs. You’ll support OD and change workstreams by contributing to problem-solving and execution, use data, insight, and stakeholder input to understand issues and identify practical solutions.

Moreover, you’ll build trusted relationships with senior leaders, using your knowledge of the business to guide and challenge project direction when needed. This includes shaping and leading the delivery of complex, business-critical people projects where required, ensuring outcomes are well-defined, measurable, and connected to strategic people priorities.

Furthermore, you’ll be:

  • Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and ways of working across teams
  • Providing clear, evidence‑based insights that support business priorities
  • Sharing expertise and insight with peers, and actively contributing to continuous improvement of tools, approaches, and delivery practice
  • Making sure work is well‑planned, tracked, and reviewed consistently
  • Supporting HRBPs and People Directors in delivering SWP by translating business needs into scalable, insight-led workforce solutions
The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with experience delivering people‑related change, working with SMEs to turn strategy into practical plans, and supporting end‑to‑end delivery. This includes the ability to analyse data from multiple sources, identify patterns, and develop insights. You’ll bring strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity as well as a growth mindset, strong collaboration skills, and willingness to develop deeper expertise.

In addition, you’ll need:

  • An understanding of OD principles
  • Good understanding of how to use AI tools responsibly to support insight and decision‑making
  • A proven track record of working in an agile environment
  • Experience using structured problem‑solving approaches
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and upskilling
