We are looking for a HR Administrator to join our People team based in Coventry. This role is ideal for an organised and proactive HR professional who enjoys supporting a busy HR function and delivering a high-quality service to employees and managers across the business.

Working closely with the HR team, you will play an important role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, maintaining HR systems and processes, and acting as a key point of contact for administrative HR support. You will collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure HR activities are delivered efficiently and in line with company policies and legislative requirements.

This is a fully site-based role in Coventry, supporting multiple sites across the Midlands.

How will you contribute: 

  • Ensure all new starter, change and leaver processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner, working closely with Payroll and Finance.
  • Support line managers with new starter onboarding, coordinating induction processes and liaising with QEHS to arrange group inductions where required.
  • Act as a key administrative support to the HR team, assisting with employee queries and general HR coordination across the business.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure all processes are completed in full compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Monitor and maintain absence data and reporting trackers, ensuring return-to-work interviews are completed and supporting absence management processes in line with company policy.
  • Maintain and update personnel files and HR documentation, ensuring compliance with GDPR requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for employee relations processes, including arranging meetings, preparing documentation and taking meeting minutes where required.
  • Assist with the coordination of sickness absence meetings, managing diaries, preparing letters and ensuring records and reporting systems remain accurate and up to date.
  • Produce monthly HR reports and employee data summaries for corporate headquarters.
  • Support the HR team with employee engagement initiatives, site communications and newsletters.
  • Assist with CSR and employee engagement activities across the site.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with HR projects and initiatives as required.

What will you Bring:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards it would be advantageous.
  • Previous HR administration experience in a busy HR environment would be beneficial.
  • Experience using HR databases and producing management information reports.
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and confidence using Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and HR systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing business demands.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • A positive, results-driven attitude with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel between our sites.
