We are looking for a commercially focused HR Advisor (Employee Relations) to join our Wolverhampton HR team on a 15-month fixed-term contract. This is a highly visible role with a significant focus on managing employee relations casework, advising managers, and building leadership capability across the site.

You'll act as a trusted ER specialist, partnering with managers to navigate complex people matters while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact within a collaborative manufacturing and engineering environment where people and continuous improvement are at the heart of our success.

About the Role

This role is primarily Employee Relations focused, with responsibility for supporting and managing a broad range of employee relations matters across the business. You will spend much of your time partnering with managers on case management, coaching leaders, identifying trends, and driving positive employee outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support employee relations case management across disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, performance, conduct, and flexible working matters.
  • Conduct investigations, prepare documentation, and provide expert advice throughout formal HR processes.
  • Coach and develop managers to confidently manage employee relations issues in line with legislation, policy, and business needs.
  • Analyse ER trends, metrics, and feedback to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support the management of short and long-term absence cases in partnership with Occupational Health, managers, and employees.
  • Work closely with the Site HR Manager and Strategic HR Business Partner to strengthen leadership capability and promote best practice people management.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and coaching interventions to improve manager capability in ER and people management.
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR policies, processes, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Support actions arising from employee engagement and people surveys.
  • Act as a key user of Workday and other HR systems, supporting managers and employees with HR processes and queries.
  • Assist with recruitment activities and onboarding when required.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a confident HR professional with substantial employee relations expertise who enjoys partnering with managers and influencing positive outcomes.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role with significant hands-on Employee Relations responsibility.
  • Proven experience managing complex ER cases from investigation through to resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience coaching and challenging managers to drive effective people management practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities, with the capability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach and the confidence to operate independently.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) and advanced knowledge of Workday HRIS.
Desirable
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, automotive, or similarly complex operational environment.
  • Experience working alongside Trade Union representatives, Employee Forums, or Works Councils.
Why Join Moog?

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys the challenge of Employee Relations and wants to make a meaningful impact on both people and business performance. You'll join a supportive HR team and play a key role in creating positive employee experiences while helping managers build capability and confidence.

If Employee Relations is your strength and you're looking for a role where you can truly influence outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Join Us?

What We Offer:

  • Flexible benefits package and development opportunities to support career progression

  • 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
