We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Junior Writer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Journalism or English Literature who is eager to grow in the content and digital media space. Working 4 days per week, you will support our content operations by creating engaging social media posts, repurposing existing content, proofreading, and spotting emerging trends and memes that align with our brand voice. A strong passion for social media and digital culture is essential, as you’ll play an active role in shaping how our brand shows up online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create social media posts that are engaging, on-brand, and optimized for each platform
  • Repurpose and repackage long-form or existing content into fresh, digestible formats
  • Proofread, rewrite, and refine content assets to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Identify trending topics, cultural moments, and memes relevant to our audience
  • Support the content team in maintaining a cohesive brand voice across all channels
  • Assist with basic research to strengthen content accuracy and relevance
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure alignment on messaging

Requirements
  • Background in Journalism, English Literature, or a related field
  • Strong passion for social media and digital trends
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to adapt tone and style across different platforms
  • Keen eye for trends, social media culture, and emerging formats
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Some experience with content creation—class projects, internships, or personal portfolios are acceptable
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling or content tools (e.g., Notion, Canva, Grammarly, Buffer)
  • Basic understanding of content performance metrics
  • Experience writing for consumer-facing brands
  • Interest in storytelling, digital culture, or online media trends
