Head of Wholesale Market Intelligence - 12 Month FTC

The Role

Own the production of insightful fund and market intelligence analysis, focused on wholesale distribution channels, to support internal decision making across M&G Global Distribution, Product and Investment teams. Oversee the workload of colleagues in M&G Global Services dedicated to supporting the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver insightful and relevant market intelligence to support strategic decision making for senior business executives. This includes funds, sector and market analysis and recommendations to support various stakeholders in the Product, Distribution, and Investment areas, including the Head of Global Distribution and Product and CEO Asset Management.
• Oversee/guide the day to day work of the 2 FTE aligned to the team in M&G Global Services (Mumbai) to enable the production of regular reports and ad hoc projects, supporting their professional development (not direct line management responsibilities).
• Deliver regular reports including monthly market sales trend analysis and quarterly MarketWatch reports. Provide proactive and forward looking views where possible, to identify potential opportunities and challenges for M&G.  
• Manage the relationship with key third party data providers, including Broadridge, and manage the associated budgets.
• Identify opportunities to present relevant analysis to colleagues across Asset Management to broaden awareness of relevant trends and build profile of the Wholesale Market Intelligence team.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience of the data and analytics offerings from Broadridge and Morningstar Direct; and other Market Intelligence databases essential
• Experience in developing and presenting Asset Management Market Intelligence analysis and research for C-suite level audience
• Understanding of asset management functions, global markets and asset classes (fixed income, equities, multi-asset)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to analyse and present data to extract most relevant conclusions and recommendations for M&G
• Attention to detail and accuracy are key to this role
• Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
• Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and data representation software such as MS Power BI
