About the Role

You will be an integral part of the RELX Talent and Capability COE Leadership Team. You will provide T&C Partnering to Elsevier and all its world class brands. You'll take ownership of the delivery of the T&C COE strategy and divisional priorities across Learning, Leadership and People Performance providing an inspiring employee experience to enhance capability and performance. You will also represent the COE on your divisional HR leadership team and in this role ensure both the surfacing of business requirements and delivering COE solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Being a visible ambassador for Talent and Capability, role modelling everything RELX asks of its senior leaders. Collaborating with a variety of internal stakeholders to identify and implement Talent and Capability approaches that support Elsevier’s business objectives.

  • Learning and being able to articulate the breadth and depth of Elsevier businesses and key commercial drivers

  • Advocating and implementing RELX consistent leadership and learning programs within Elsevier focusing on Manager Capability, Executive Education, Performance Management and Leadership Capabilities.

  • Representing the needs and interests of Elsevier in RELX-wide T&C discussions and initiatives. Ensuring that final outcomes are relevant, accessible and high-value with a compelling Elsevier narrative.

  • Promoting a culture of continuous growth and learning. Utilizing data and metrics to monitor the quality, effectiveness and overall experiences of talent initiatives within Elsevier.

  • Co-ordinating all activities for Talent Review with business leaders and HR partners to identify critical positions, talent readiness and succession pipelines. With leaders, support strategies to address readiness gaps, both technical and behavioural thus enhancing purposeful careers.

  • Driving a culture of feedback and recognition to drive business outcomes and a meaningful employee experience. Work closely with colleagues across the global HR
    organization to ensure integrated and aligned approaches for employees and leaders.

  • Managing the overall divisional training plan, being accountable for categories 1 & 2 budget and monitoring category 3 - non T&C training spend.

  • Creating a supportive environment for professional development, communication, and career advancement of all T&C team members including our REPH colleagues.

Requirements

  • Have the ability to advocate, educate, and influence senior leaders across various expertise areas within T&C scope. Focus on business transformation and people-centric approaches.

  • Demonstrate global experience across different geographies and industries, ensuring successful delivery of large-scale projects.

  • Possess an educational background showcasing cognitive capability and a passion for personal growth

  • Maintain a client-centric approach, adept at building relationships with ELT, SLG, cross-functional teams, and customers.

  • Have a deep understanding of Elsevier business challenges and opportunities, aligning T&C support accordingly.

  • Be able to engage in outcome-focused conversations, bridging T&C content with the language and goals of the business.

  • Have the ability to apply critical strategic and commercial thinking to continuously improve performance in the role and be recognized as a thought partner to ELT

  • Maintain an enterprise-wide perspective on divisional activities while representing a strategic COE position thoughtfully, resolving differences for shared positive outcomes.

  • Possess extensive analytical skills to make data-driven decisions. Have project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
