JOB TITLE: Head of Strategic & Technology Partnerships

SALARY: From £101,392 depending on location

LOCATION(S): Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, London, Halifax or Newport

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site


About this opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of the award winning LBG Mortgages Intermediaries team leading the Strategic & Technology Partnerships team for the Group.

You’ll oversee and support your team with the development and execution of strategic plans with the UKs largest introducers of mortgages, as well as lead and drive forward the strategic plan with our housing & mortgages technology partners.

You’ll identify and form new strategic partnerships to get closer to the customer, benefitting both Intermediaries and our direct channels. Having market knowledge is critical for this role, and you’ll use this knowledge and your established relationships to inform and challenge LBG strategic plans to ensure alignment and focus for the Intermediary market.

The location for this role is flexible, although there is significant travel required across the UK.

On a day to day basis, this role will include:

  • Leading a proactive contact strategy for both prospective technology and existing partners in order to support the Industry and the Bank in identifying and optimising opportunities.
  • Managing, motivating, developing and driving National account relationships to understand the distribution and technology strategy, turning insight into business delivery and competitive advantage.
  • Building and continually improving relationships at all levels between National Accounts and Lloyds Banking Group.
  • Supporting the delivery of key strategic work packages including technology and sustainability, ensuring the initiatives are delivered to the desired standard that are fit for the intermediary market.
  • Leading the market with thought leadership content that supports LBG’s Housing Strategy.
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with key internal support areas, e.g. Products, Marketing, Risk, Finance to enable business area objectives and value creation.

What you’ll need

You’ll have great stakeholder management skills and the ability to confidently influence senior partners across the intermediary market, you’ll also regularly represent the Group externally at industry events, participate on panels and present innovative updates at industry conferences.

We’re looking for someone who is an experienced and inspirational leader in technology, who will innovate and inspire their teams to deliver results. You'll also need

  • Knowledge of the Intermediary market
  • Strategic thinker and ability to work with ambiguity
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions to new and emerging issues
  • Influence business decisions, using data to design and deliver customer focussed propositions
