Job Description

The role of Head of Sales is crucial to the growth and overall success of the business. You will be responsible for the leadership of up to 70 FTE including first and 2nd line managers, primarily responsible for prospecting, selling, and onboarding new to group customers.  

We would love to welcome you to our Crewe office, working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm. 

 

Your responsibilities day to day will be: 

  • Budget level responsibility for the sales teams in Crewe 
  • Developing weekly/monthly/quarterly targets for the department that deliver on the required budgets. 

  • Finding growth opportunities, enabling sales improvements and product mix are critical. 

  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and L&D cycle across all operational business levels.  

  • Work cross-departmentally to refine and improve the customer journey.  

  • Regularly review MI to identify and action areas of improvement against the department budget.  Reporting back to the business regularly on department successes and challenges. 

  • Utilise the business CRM tools and create plans that truly impact Key business performance indicators.  

  • Succession plan by improving those around whilst searching for best-in-class talent to join the team. 

  • Engage your team on KPI’s that impact the wider group such as cross-sell.  

 

 

What do we expect of you? 

  • Experience in a senior sales management role 

  • Strong team building skills and an ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. 

  • Able to demonstrate a 'common sense' approach to problem solving in the sales environment. 

  • Enthusiastic self-starter, driven by the intent to succeed and achieve company goals. 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage a large workforce with creative new ideas.  

  • Computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office packages and business CRM platforms such as Salesforce
