The Head of Sales Role

You will join SESAMm at a critical point in our growth, taking ownership of the global sales organisation. Reporting to the CCO, you will manage and grow a high-performing sales team across Europe and North America.
Your main duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Sales Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute SESAMm’s go-to-market strategy in alignment with company objectives. Drive predictable revenue growth across target markets (financial institutions, private equity, asset managers, insurance, consulting, and rating agencies).
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales managers and business developers, ensuring strong performance, operational efficiency, and achievement of targets.
  • Pipeline & Forecasting: Own sales pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and reporting. Implement best practices and structured processes in CRM.
  • Enterprise Sales: Support complex enterprise deals in large financial institutions, working with Sales Engineering and Product teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment and shared success.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent SESAMm at industry events, conferences, and in client meetings to reinforce SESAMm’s market positioning.
Desired Background and Skills

Education

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (preferred).

Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in B2B enterprise sales in FinTech, financial information, SaaS, or risk/ESG technology.
  • At least 3–5 years’ experience in managing and scaling sales teams with a proven record of quota achievement.
  • Track record of closing complex enterprise deals in financial services (private equity, asset management, banking, insurance).

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of financial markets and strong interest in AI, ESG, and sustainability.
  • Proven ability to set sales strategy, structure teams, and run operations with discipline.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent ability to navigate large organizations, handle long sales cycles, and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and French is essential.
  • Self-driven, ambitious, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
