The Company

Sendbird is on a mission to build the AI workforce of tomorrow. For over a decade, we built the infrastructure behind conversations—chat, voice, video, messaging APIs—and became the #1 CPaaS platform for in-app communications. 4,000+ brands trust us. 7 billion messages flow through our platform every month. 300 million monthly active users.

We powered conversations for DoorDash, Match Group, Noom, Yahoo Sports, Rakuten, and thousands of others. We were good at what we did. Really good.

We also saw it early: AI would fundamentally reshape how businesses talk to customers. The infrastructure we'd spent a decade building would become commoditized. The value would move up the stack—into intelligence, into experience, into outcomes.

We had a choice: protect what we built, or reinvent ourselves.

We chose reinvention.

In December 2024, we made the full strategic pivot to AI-first customer experience. By February 2025, we'd launched our AI agent for enterprise CX—built on a decade of conversation data, now with intelligence on top. And in November 2025, we rebranded to delight.ai.

The name says it all. AI's real promise isn't efficiency or cost savings. It's giving customers back something they lost—the feeling of being truly understood and cared for. Not satisfied. Delighted.

The Product

Delight.ai is the AI concierge for customer experience. Most AI agents forget you the moment the conversation ends. Ours doesn't. Delight.ai builds memory over time, learns preferences, and connects context across every channel—chat, SMS, email, voice, WhatsApp—without losing the thread. We're building AI that makes customers feel understood, seen, and remembered.

Why Head of Sales, APAC

Agentic AI in enterprise CX isn't coming. It's happening. Sendbird is already trusted by thousands of the world's most recognizable companies, built over a decade. The opportunity to now sell them an AI workforce that transforms customer service is rare, and it's here.

We're scaling APAC aggressively and need someone to build high-performing outbound teams, own the AI CX narrative across the region, and close deals that set the standard. Real infrastructure, real customers, real momentum.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CRO, the Head of Sales for APAC owns revenue growth across the region, building, coaching, and driving outbound-focused teams to hit and exceed targets. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. The right person won't just manage the number. They'll set the standard for how Sendbird sells AI.

You might be this person if:

  • You have a sales playbook you can speak to and hold reps accountable toYou lead from the front. On calls, in the room, first to dig in when a deal gets complicated.
  • You coach with precision. You know the difference between a rep who needs support and one who needs accountability.
  • You're sharp on the numbers and sharper on what's behind them. Pipeline quality, deal velocity, forecast accuracy. You understand what affects conversion metrics.
  • You know how to advance enterprise opportunities when they get stuck.
  • You're curious about how technology solves customer problems. That shows up in how you train your team, engage prospects, and apply AI tools to sharpen how your team sells.
  • You build relationships that outlast any single deal. Customers, internal stakeholders, your team.
  • You communicate complex ideas, AI, APIs, enterprise workflows, with clarity and confidence, not buzzwords.
  • You lead with integrity. Trust is the foundation of enterprise sales.
  • You default to AI-assisted ways of working. Agentic tools, automation, and leverage across your team.

You need to have:

  • 7+ years of sales leadership experience at high-growth technology companies.
  • At least 5 years closing six and seven-figure enterprise deals.
  • Previous SaaS experience selling into Product and Engineering segments.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Fluency operating in an AI-first environment. Automation, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted tooling are how this team operates.
  • Ability to support a 3-day per week hybrid schedule at our Gangnam office.

What you'll actually do:

  • Hire, onboard, and develop two regional outbound sales teams across APAC.
  • Coach reps through deal strategy, customer calls, and product expertise using MEDDPICC, not just pipeline reviews.
  • Build and execute regional sales plans tied to company revenue goals and customer growth targets.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, owning accountability at both team and individual account levels.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key enterprise accounts across the region.
  • Communicate Sendbird's AI value proposition through compelling proposals, presentations, and strategic conversations.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure your region has what it needs to win.
  • Embed AI-assisted selling into how your teams operate. Automated lead enrichment, AI-powered call prep, and real-time pipeline visibility as standard practice.

Flexible Work Policy

We offer a flexible work schedule at Sendbird.  We also value collaboration and relationship building.  With those values in mind, we require all employees within an hour's commute range of their local office to gather with their team in the office three days per week as a minimum.  Some of our roles require a more frequent in-office schedule.  Please work with your manager to understand the office time requirements for your position.
