Head of Programme Management – FTSE Russell

Job Description Summary

Leads the delivery of strategic programmes and projects across FTSE Russell, ensuring effective prioritisation, resource allocation, and governance to maximise business value.

This role plays a critical part in driving portfolio execution, aligning cross-functional initiatives, and establishing strong delivery discipline and transparency at senior leadership level.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of a complex portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring alignment with FTSE Russell and LSEG strategic objectives
  • Own the prioritisation, governance, and execution of key initiatives, ensuring delivery to time, budget, and quality standards
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including budgets, milestones, resources, dependencies, and risks
  • Lead the development and evaluation of business cases, ensuring clear articulation of benefits, impact, and risk
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to resolve issues, prioritise work, and accelerate key initiatives
  • Drive the strategic direction for programme delivery, transformation, and portfolio management
  • Build and maintain portfolio plans, providing clear reporting and insights to senior leadership
  • Own the annual planning and budgeting process in line with Group frameworks
  • Support Group and functional planning cycles, working closely with the COO and leadership team
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts, including root cause analysis and quality enhancement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to LSEG programme and project management standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of programme professionals, driving high performance and capability growth
  • Act as an integrator across functions, connecting teams and initiatives to drive organisational change and strategic outcomes
What You’ll Bring
  • Extensive experience in large-scale programme, project, and portfolio management
  • Proven ability to operate and influence at executive level within complex, matrixed organisations
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget oversight and KPI management
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Degree or equivalent, with relevant professional qualification preferred
Location & Working Pattern

Based in New York or London, aligned to a hybrid working model with an expectation of 3 days per week in the office.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $244,600 - $407,800.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match. LSEG’s Benefits plan also includes basic life insurance, disability benefits, emergency backup dependent care, adoption assistance commuter assistance etc.
