We are looking for a Head of Program Management (Technical) to lead the Culture, Growth and Innovation (CGI) initiatives for the Engineering organization at Atlassian. In this role, you will be reporting to the Head to CTO Strategic Initiatives. You are responsible for setting the program vision that helps Atlassian become a world-class engineering organization. You will lead teams to define and execute on a strategy to further talent growth across the organization. As a leader on the team, you will provide direction and ensure that the team is focusing on the right business problems. We need your expertise to ensure Atlassian's culture and curiosity to innovate and thrive in a Team Anywhere setting.
What you'll do

  • Own the strategic vision of the Culture, Growth and Innovation programs with a focus on driving the best outcomes for our customers (Atlassians).
  • Influence the roadmaps for products that impact employee experience, thereby supporting the growth and complexity of the organization.
  • Be a hands on leader by guiding the team to develop and maintain program plans, identify resource needs, and balance project schedules; lead strategy with other program team members and partners on progress, dependencies and risks.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of key initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on CGI programs, including progress against goals to stakeholders and executive audience.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance Atlassian Engineering brand to retain top talent.


  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience in program management.
  • Minimum 6+ years as a people manager.
  • Experience with building and scaling talent management programs from the ground up.
  • Strategic thinker with proactive approach to identifying and addressing diverse challenges.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience).
  • Demonstrated experience and success leading high-impact, cross-functional programs or products.
  • Possesses flexibility and has a history of delivering impactful, scalable programs.
  • Ability to accelerate deliverables through taking calculated risks and experimenting with new solutions.


Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $221,500 - $295,300
Zone B: $199,300 - $265,800
Zone C: $183,800 - $245,100
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
