ROLE OVERVIEW/PURPOSE:
Reporting into a Director Product, the Head of Product plays a pivotal role in driving product strategy and leading a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners. This leader fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, empowering the team to deliver exceptional products that align with business goals. As a cross-functional leader, the Head of Product works closely with Commercial and Technology partners to ensure seamless integration of market needs with cutting-edge technology. They take full ownership of the end-to-end product creation process—from ideation through development, launch, and beyond—ensuring each product delivers maximum value to customers while maintaining alignment with the company’s vision and objectives. Through strategic leadership and a customer-centric mindset, the Head of Product drives success at every stage of the product lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
What You’ll be Doing…
As the Head of Product, your role is to define and execute the product vision, steering your team to deliver strategic initiatives while driving meaningful change. You'll lead a team of talented Product Managers and Product Owners, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Your leadership will empower the team to align with the broader business goals, ensuring a sharp focus on delivering value to our customers. Your efforts will also ensure that the product roadmap is seamlessly executed, driving key milestones and delivering changes efficiently.
Strategy & Vision: You will work closely with key stakeholders to articulate the product strategy, balancing customer needs with business objectives. By maintaining a forward-looking approach, you’ll guide the team in identifying market opportunities and prioritizing impactful initiatives.
Delivery & Execution: You will ensure the team excels in getting products out the door by leading the end-to-end product creation process. From ideation to development, through launch and post-launch iterations, you will drive timely, efficient product delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Leadership & Culture: Foster an open, collaborative, and innovative culture within the wider Product team. Build, mentor, and empower a brilliant team that aligns behind shared goals and outcomes, ensuring roadmaps focus on delivering customer and business value.
Alignment & Strategy: Ensure the Product strategies align with commercial expectations and the overarching PokerStars objectives. Work in close partnership with senior management across technology, marketing, research, and commercial teams to maximize return on investment and customer experience.
Execution & Continuous Improvement: Define the processes to follow the Thoughtful Execution framework and encourage a continual improvement mindset, delivering best-in-class features with an emphasis on customer experience and safety.
Stakeholder Management: Represent Client Technology Product to the wider business, sharing the customer value delivered and long-term vision. Ensure alignment with commercial stakeholders and work with external partners on 3rd party product roadmaps when appropriate.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Cultivate a data-informed mindset, defining and analyzing key metrics for product features and initiatives that contribute to the company's long-term vision while delivering immediate value to users. Encourage a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
