About the Role

We’re searching for an exceptional Product Marketing Director to define, elevate and champion the cross-functional go-to-market strategy behind Zilch’s most innovative product experiences. Reporting to our VP of Growth Marketing, you’ll drive cross functional teams to deliver against product adoption, utilisation & retention KPIs, and relevant commercial outcomes. You’ll lead the charge on high-profile launches and continuous optimisation, shaping how millions of customers discover, understand and fall in love with our products.

Bringing together marketing, product, data, finance and risk stakeholders, you will drive Zilch’s approach to customer segmentation, messaging, product positioning and incentivisation, resulting in a unified, compelling and highly intuitive customer experience that drives lifetime value & customer evangelism. We’re looking for an industry-defining individual who is equally happy defining top-level strategy & leading cross functional teams, as well as being hands-on in the detail, bringing together data-driven rigour and customer-first thinking.

If you’re energised by the intersection of customer insight, growth, product strategy and commercial outcomes - this is a rare opportunity to have a company-wide footprint and shape the narrative of a category-defining financial services brand.

Day to Day Responsibilities.

Design Product Marketing Strategy & Vision

  • Own and articulate the product marketing vision and strategy that spans all product & marketing customer touchpoints, inspiring cross-functional teams around a clear, compelling narrative
  • Develop the product value proposition architecture alongside product & marketing leadership, leveraging analytical and strategic skills to define positioning across the customer lifecycle
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate competitor launches and market shifts to understand opportunities and risk, distilling insights into actionable recommendations that shape long-term product and commercial strategy

Deliver Product & Commercial Outcomes

  • Drive cross functional teams to deliver against product adoption, utilisation & retention KPIs, and relevant commercial outcomes
  • Use data to align cross functional teams to prioritise their collective efforts to maximise commercial value

Go-To-Market Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end GTM strategy and execution for new product features and experiences, collating input from respective functional leads (marketing, product & data stakeholders) to deliver high-impact launches aligned to business priorities
  • Establish and manage strong cross-functional teams around shared objectives, facilitating discussions to ensure launches are cohesive, high-impact, customer-centric

Continuous Innovation, Experimentation & Improvement

  • Oversee continuous optimisation initiatives to drive measurable improvements in adoption, usage frequency and retention across both new and established products, that drive improved commercial outcomes
  • Translate performance signals and complex data into clear commercial insights and recommendations that inform strategic decision-making
  • Implement scalable, repeatable GTM and optimisation frameworks that accelerate speed-to-impact, improve execution quality, and enable sustained performance across future launches

Customer Segmentation & Profiling

  • Develop a deep, expert-level understanding of customers motivations, behaviours, friction points and unmet needs, combining both quantitative and qualitative insights to inform customer segmentation strategy throughout the entire lifecycle, and serves as the foundation for the business’ product marketing strategy
  • Ensure insights directly shape product relevance, value propositions and messaging, driving decisions that align with broader business and strategic objectives.

Unified Customer Messaging Hierarchy & Journey

  • Working with Marketing & Product leadership, build a data-led approach to optimise the messaging hierarchy for priority customer segments, to communicate the right message, at the right time, in the right location, to the right customer, that maximises commercial outcomes
  • Ensure customer journeys are unified across all marketing & product touch points for a seamless customer experience

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the strategic glue between product, marketing and commercial teams, ensuring alignment and championing a customer-led mindset. Build and maintain trusted cross-functional partnerships, aligning diverse teams around shared objectives to drive cohesion, collaboration, and business impact
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, design, engineering, data, finance, sales and risk, to align objectives and initiatives which deliver customer and merchant outcomes that drive business growth

What we're Looking for...

  • Proven experience in product marketing within complex, consumer-facing businesses, ideally with multi-feature or multi-product environments
  • Deep expertise in data-driven customer segmentation, product positioning, messaging and incentivisation strategies, applied to inform product and commercial decision-making
  • A proactive, inquisitive and commercially-savvy problem solver, using data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions in ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional communication skills to simplify complex or highly technical topics and influence senior stakeholders
  • High proficiency with analytical and productivity tools including Microsoft Office and Looker Studio (with hands-on Looker Explore experience), using data to inform strategic recommendations and measure outcomes
