About the team

EMEA is a significant part of our business and a strategic priority for Stripe. Our team is responsible for identifying and executing on a product strategy to win in the region. We build foundational, localized products for EMEA, including local payment methods and self-serve growth. We also work closely with other functional teams to bring new products to the EMEA market. We are responsible for the success of the region, and work closely with our go-to-market teams to marry what we build with what we sell.

What you’ll do

As the Head of EMEA product you are responsible for setting the EMEA product strategy and owning the product roadmap. You have a team of Regional Product Managers who sit in our most important EMEA countries, and will work closely with the Local Payment Methods and Global Self Serve team to build highly localized payments products. Additionally, your teams will work cross-functionally with other product teams, partnerships, and go-to-market to ensure the success of the region. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role, and part of your job will be to set up and run the right operating mechanisms to work across teams towards a common goal. You will also be the product representative of the region, meeting with users and partners. You will partner closely with our EMEA CRO.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy for EMEA product 
  • Deeply understand our users’ needs by spending time with users and teams on the ground
  • Be the Stripe product representative of the region, interfacing with our users and partners 
  • Manage a team of highly independent and effective Regional Product Managers 
  • Work closely with our EMEA CRO to push forward important initiatives (as they relate to product) in the region 
  • Work extremely cross-functionally with other product teams to bring products to market in EMEA

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years in a product management role, or a general manager role for a technical product
  • Proven track record of setting a successful strategy and building highly impactful products
  • Demonstrated experience partnering closely with engineers, designers, and external partners to build products and complex systems at scale
  • Experience building and managing a high performing teams of product managers
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior user-facing and partner-facing stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for precise and concise articulation of user problems
  • Analytical mindset, proven experience working cross-functionally to turn data insights into strategic decisions
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with significant autonomy and responsibility
  • Background delivering successfully on multi-quarter roadmaps and aligning diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals
  • Strong business acumen and comfort with complex ecosystem and platform-level problems

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with online payments
  • Experience running a business unit 
  • Experience working with financial partners and users from various geographies and cultures
