About the Procurement team and the Role
The Indirect and Direct Beauty Procurement team at THG partners with business leaders to unlock value, drive innovation, and enable commercial excellence across our supply ecosystem. We don't just buy services or materials / ingredients —we architect solutions that accelerate growth, mitigate risk, and create competitive advantage. As the Head of Procurement, you will own our complete indirect agenda spanning marketing, technology, and central business services as well as drive the Direct Beauty team focussing on collaborating with the THG labs team to drive value across all skew lines and packaging requirements.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll drive strategic value through sophisticated category management, strategic supplier partnerships, and procurement innovation across our global operations. You'll be the catalyst for driving value, challenging the status quo and building procurement capabilities that position THG for continued success in a fast-evolving digital landscape.
This role is suited to someone with strong previous experience in category management and buying across multiple sectors. The candidate does not need to have experience in all categories but should be comfortable in applying procurement skills across the range of sub-categories. The ideal candidate will be capable of working confidently with senior business leaders to ensure THG invest in the most suitable products and services.
As the Head of Procurement you will:
- Execute and continue to evolve the procurement strategy aligned with THG's business objectives and growth ambitions
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Technology, Operations, and Beauty
- Build and present compelling business cases for procurement initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement processes, tools and capabilities
- Own and manage Marketing procurement, including advertising, agencies, media, events and brand partnerships
- Own and manage the Direct Beauty Procurement strategy and continue to identify and drive profit improvements
- Manage technology procurement encompassing software, cloud services, IT services and digital solutions
- Oversee central services procurement including professional services, facilities, HR and corporate
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relations, leading high value, complex negotiations
- Drive measurable value through cost optimization, value creation and strategic sourcing
- Establish robust performance measurement and benefits tracking, delivering reporting to leadership on ROI
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Senior indirect and direct procurement leadership experience with expertise across Marketing, Tech, Central business services (such as finance, facilities, operations) and direct procurement experience.
- Proven track record delivering significant value and leading complex negotiations in fast-paced environments
- Strategic thinker with exceptional execution capability through stakeholder influencing
- Strong commercial acumen combined with knowledge of procurement best practices and methodologies
- Demonstrated success building and leading high performing teams
- Strong communicator with ability to challenge constructively and build trusted partnerships
- Results-driven and entrepreneurial with resilience to thrive in dynamic, high-growth environment
- Data-driven decision maker, balancing analytic rigor with pragmatic, value-focused outcomes
