Job Description
BAC UK is hiring a Head of Pricing to lead the company’s New Business function. This role will report to the CEO.
ResponsibilitiesStart-up
- Develop pricing tools, policies and processes to support the launch of the BAC UK business
- Work with the Head of Origination to ensure that BAC UK has a competitive pricing basis and new business proposition that provides sufficient differentiation from the competition
- Work with the CTO to ensure BAC UK has current market and competitive data at all times to facilitate agile decision making
- Support the Head of Origination with the preparation of marketing and proposal materials to support BAC UK’s market entry
Business as usual
- Manage the pricing pipeline to ensure all bids are delivered on time
- Work with the CTO to develop the pricing platform to achieve efficiency gains
- Ensure high standards of quality and accuracy across all bids
- Deliver all material bids to second line for review in advance of the submission of the bid
- Support annual third line reviews of the pricing methodology and approach
- Report to the Board on market competitiveness of the business
- Support the development of bespoke solutions for schemes where this is required to facilitate a transaction, leveraging the skills within BNRE
- Project sponsor for initiatives to develop BAC UK’s Pricing capabilities, and drive these projects forward to execution
- Contribute to the overall management of the business as a member of the Senior Management Team
- Qualified Actuary
- 10+ years of direct financial services-related experience required
- Extensive experience working with EBCs in the UK
- Experience of PRA and FCA regulations
- Insurance sector experience and knowledge of bulk annuities
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize deliverables, and work well under pressure and deadlines
- Possesses high professional standards and exemplifies exceptional integrity and credibility with strong relationship management skills
- Ability to manage and balance competing interests of multiple stakeholders and positively manage conflict
- Works well in a team-based environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
