WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
The Global Head of People Safety will define and lead SimCorp’s global health and safety strategy, ensuring a safe and resilient work environment across all locations. This role partners with senior leadership to ensure the company’s risk appetite is followed, drive compliance, and embed a culture of safety through innovation and engagement. The position is based in P&C and is responsible for building systems, protocols, and capabilities across the global organization, enabling SimCorp to manage people safety risks for employees whether they are based in a SimCorp location or traveling outside our footprint.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Own the global People Safety strategy and ensure the company’s risk appetite around health and safety id followed, in alignment with ExCo guidance.
Define policies, frameworks, and toolkits, and lead their implementation across all locations.
Build People Health & Safety capabilities, including establishing and supporting H&S Ambassadors.
Lead incident management and response by developing escalation protocols and communication plans and once developed secure the plans are adhered to across all locations.
Monitor global and local risks continuously using tools such as ISOS and travel trackers.
Drive continuous improvement of People Health & Safety systems and capabilities.
Ensure employee engagement and training, including integrating safety awareness into onboarding.
Evaluate and implement digital tools for safety monitoring and explore predictive analytics for proactive risk management.
Oversee reporting and maintain transparency on safety performance and compliance.
Act as budget owner for all costs related to the People Safety domain.
Guide the organization when entering new or unfamiliar locations to ensure safety readiness.
Serve as the primary contact for Deutsche Börse, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and external safety consultants and authorities.
Authorities:
Serve as a strategic advisor to ExCo on people safety matters
Empowered to develop, drive implementation and operationalization of health and safety framework
Fully empowered to lead the resolution of all non-crisis safety events and escalate as needed.
Member of the crisis management team (not the lead)
