Overview

Reporting into the Chief People Officer, this is a global role that will own the strategy and the execution of a wide array of people focussed projects. You will be a true partner to the business, an expert in navigating employment law globally and work with stakeholders in multiple geographies to achieve our business goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Business Partnering with Leaders and Board on the below key topics:
    • Leading organizational design and workforce planning
    • Maximizing performance of our people
    • Driving business transformation
    • Coaching of business leaders
    • Leading on business unit specific M&A
  • Working closely with our Shared Service Centre team on topics such as Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards etc.
  • Culture – defining and driving a unique culture for business relevant to business needs
  • Responsible for setting and executing our compensation strategy relevant to each business (fixed, variable, equity etc.), leveraging our Shared Services expertise
  • Driving employee engagement, leveraging tools and data provided by our Shared Service team
  • Managing and being our Employment law expert, handling employee relations and other cases
  • Define and roll-out other policies and programs specific to business needs
  • Act as a coach and mentor to individuals in our Shared Service function to ensure they have sufficient knowledge to provide support to employees in each business
  • Partnering closely with other Heads of People Business Partnering (PBP) for the other business within our group to create alignment and benefit from each other’s experience
  • Participate in group-wide projects, together with other PBPs and/or Shared Service team
  • Working in a matrix structure, reporting into the CEO of DT One unit as well as the Group Chief People Officer
  • Leading a small team of People Business Partners, responsible for performance management, coaching, mentoring and driving consistency in business partnering approach across global team for Thunes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant regional and international experience required
  • Proven track record as Business Partner, experience operating and influencing at C-level
  • Strong business acumen, desire to understand business needs and ability to tailor People priorities/activities accordingly
  • Strong business partnering, coaching, analytical and influencing skills
  • Ability to present at a senior level
  • Having a good grasp of business financial
  • Proven track record of working in matrix organizations
  • Strong international employment law knowledge of multiple markets with diverse and complex legal systems
  • Experience with compensation strategies and partnering with central C&B resources to leverage benchmark data to support pay decisions
  • Strong data focus – proven track record of leveraging data to support business decision-making
  • Ability to work across different cultures, proven track record of bringing people with different working styles together
  • Track record of supporting business transformation processes
  • Experience with HR instruments such as personality profiling
  • Team player
  • Ability to lead and coach a small team of People Business Partners as the business continues to scale and grow
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken
