Head of Marketing at Fanalysis

Powered by Passion

We’re building the go-to app for real football fans - a central home where trusted and passionate supporters can share their voices, insights, and emotions with clarity, cutting through punditry and the noise of fragmented social media

Founded by Michael McIntyre and Gary Neville, we’re already partnering with Sky Sports to amplify the perspectives of those who live and breathe the game, bringing authentic fan opinion to millions of viewers.

Having closed our seed round with personal backing from some of the world’s most exceptional venture investors, we’re now focused on building the team, app, and data platform that will power Fanalysis.

This is a thrilling opportunity to join our founding team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of fan-powered football media.

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing to lead the growth, voice, and visibility of Fanalysis. You’ll shape our brand from the ground up, driving fan adoption, building emotional connection, and making sure our message reaches the right people in the right moments.

This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, where you’ll own everything from strategy to execution. You’ll lead our social, community, CRM, influencer, and PR efforts and manage performance across all channels, from organic growth to retention campaigns.

You’ll be building a brand with heart, humour, and data at its core and helping to define what modern football marketing can look like when the fans are in charge.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a full-funnel marketing strategy to grow our user base and deepen engagement

Oversee all channels; social, email, SMS, content, PR, influencers — ensuring consistent tone, quality, and performance

Collaborate closely with product, partnerships and community teams to drive app downloads, usage, and retention

Work with TV, digital, and media partners to bring fan sentiment into high-profile moments and storylines

Own CRM strategy across email and SMS, from onboarding flows to reactivation campaigns

Build out and lead a high-performing team, managing internal hires, freelancers, and agency partners

Champion our tone of voice and ensure the Fanalysis brand is consistent across every touchpoint

Define and report on key performance metrics; from CAC and LTV to DAUs, community engagement, and retention

Continuously test, learn, and optimise creative, channels, and messaging

Act as the voice of the fan inside the company, keeping us rooted in supporter culture and behaviour

About You

You'll have 7+ years' working in marketing, with proven success in high-growth consumer apps or community-driven platforms

You’ve owned and delivered strategy across organic, paid, and CRM channels

You’re comfortable working at both brand and performance ends of the spectrum, able to build love and drive numbers

You’ve worked with or alongside PR teams, influencers, and broadcasters and understand how to create moments that land

You know how to build a community and turn users into loyal, active advocates

You’re fluent in tools like GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, Braze, Hubspot, or similar and confident building out dashboards or reports

You’re a natural leader who is collaborative, energetic, and happy rolling your sleeves up when needed

You’re plugged into football culture and fan behaviour, you’re in front of it all, from the memes to the meltdowns

Bonus if you’ve worked in sport, media, or a startup with a strong editorial or emotional identity
