We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to lead a talented team and drive our global marketing strategy. This is a new role and is a unique opportunity to make a big impact as you shape a marketing function to underpin the company’s next phase of growth.

As the Head of Marketing, you’ll drive all facets of marketing—from shaping a distinctive global brand and spearheading demand generation to cultivating internal communications and employer branding. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this is your chance to create a legacy, elevate the company's presence, and solidify its position as a thought leader in the global payments landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a diverse marketing team spanning Brand, Digital, Design, Communications, and Employer Branding.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure marketing initiatives support long-term business success.

Brand Development, Market Positioning and PR Strategy

  • Establish and enhance a global brand identity with a clear and consistent tone of voice.
  • Position the company as an industry leader through thought leadership, content marketing, and strategic PR initiatives.
  • Oversee website development and ensure it serves as a destination for stakeholders.
  • Drive the PR strategy.
  • Manage third party agencies to continue amplifying Boku's leadership position

Demand Generation & Client Growth

  • Deliver targeted lead generation initiatives that drive revenue growth.
  • Develop multi-channel campaigns, including ABM and digital strategies, to attract and retain clients.
  • Lead event marketing efforts, including sponsorships, speaking engagements, and award submissions.

Internal Communications & Employer Branding

  • Collaborate with HR to build a strong employer brand and promote the company as a top workplace.
  • Drive employee engagement through internal campaigns aligned with company values.

Data-Driven Marketing

  • Use analytics to measure campaign performance and optimize strategies.
  • Provide regular reports on marketing ROI and customer insights to stakeholders.
  • Leverage data to make informed decisions about market opportunities, resource allocation, and future strategies.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with broader business goals.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with global marketing regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks to ensure ethical and transparent marketing practices.
  • Produce investor-related materials, such as annual reports and presentations, to align with company objectives.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead and execute a marketing strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Brand Expertise: Strong understanding of brand building and positioning in competitive markets.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Ability to align marketing efforts with client needs to drive growth and retention.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in using analytics to inform strategies and measure success.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Skilled in managing cross-functional teams and building consensus across departments.
  • Operational Mindset: Proficient in optimizing marketing processes, workflows, and tools.
  • Employee Engagement: Strong experience in employer branding and internal communications to enhance the employee experience.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Excellent written and verbal command of the English language.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or tech is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Salesforce.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIM, Digital Marketing) are a plus.
