The Role:

The Head of Marketing Operations role will lead and elevate marketing efficiency across Demand Generation in our outbound B2B GTM organisation and the inbound Global Growth functions. The role is responsible for driving operational efficiency and fueling smart growth for our marketing initiatives by empowering the marketing teams to achieve its full potential.

What excites you:

  • Marketing Operations strategy: Design and implement a data-driven marketing operations strategy aligned with overall marketing objectives. Focus on optimising marketing spend for maximum return and fueling smart growth through efficient campaign execution.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a growing team of marketing operations professionals, fostering their development and ensuring the team scales effectively alongside the growing marketing needs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with marketing teams to understand their needs and provide operational support. Build strong relationships across departments to foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • MarTech Stack guardian: Oversee our marketing technology (MarTech) stack in particular the day-to-day operations. Ensure these tools empower the team and drive operational efficiency. Partnering with Business Services to drive selection as required.
  • Marketing automation architect: Identify and implement marketing automation techniques to optimise campaign execution and lead nurturing. Automate repetitive tasks to free up team bandwidth and accelerate growth.
  • Workflow optimisation: Streamline marketing workflows and develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to eliminate bottlenecks and maximise efficiency. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within the marketing department.
  • Data Guardian: Manage and maintain marketing databases and ensure data accuracy. Foster a data-driven culture across the marketing team.
  • Data-Driven: Champion data-driven decision making by providing actionable insights and reports on marketing performance metrics. 

What excites us:

  • 10+ years experience working in marketing operations or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing marketing operations teams.
  • Proven experience of managing marketing tools such as Pardot, Demandbase, Braze, Salesforce and Hubspot
  • Experience in technical transformation projects would be a plus.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation principles and a strategic vision for utilising MarTech solutions.
  • Expertise in data analysis and reporting tools 
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and aligning marketing operations with overall business objectives.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Base salary range: £68,000 - 102,000

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.  Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point (£68,000 - £85,000) of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
