SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Frylight, Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.

We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished marketing professional to lead the strategic development, execution, and growth planning for the Nation’s favourite cheese brand, Cathedral City. If you are passionate about making a difference and driving brand success, we want to hear from you!

This is a hybrid role (3 days/week) in Weybridge, Surrey.

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

  • Developing and driving the Cathedral City Vision and 1-3 year plans by crafting a compelling vision and detailed plans, and ensuring alignment across the organisation and with key customers.
  • Being brand custodian of commercial performance against key business metrics.
  • Overseeing all brand/marketing activities by leading comprehensive marketing strategies, monitoring market trends, and ensuring alignment with brand positioning and business objectives.
  • Managing NPD projects and the overall Cathedral City budget by overseeing new product development, collaborating with R&D and project teams, and managing the budget efficiently.
  • Executing consumer-led advertising and innovative shopper/e-commerce strategies by developing impactful advertising campaigns and data-driven shopper marketing strategies, and leveraging e-commerce platforms to expand reach.
  • Maintaining product quality and managing brand expansion initiatives by ensuring product quality, pursuing brand expansion opportunities, and developing sustainable packaging strategies.
  • Supporting sustainability, health, and nutrition projects by championing sustainability, health, and nutrition initiatives, and integrating these practices into marketing strategies and product development.
  • Collaborating with other Heads of Marketing to enhance marketing capabilities by sharing best practices, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.

YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…

  • A seasoned marketer with extensive FMCG experience, ideally in food or drink, with a proven track record of managing and growing brands.
  • Strong strategic thinker with commercial acumen, capable of developing and implementing long-term growth plans.
  • Skilled in advertising, communications, media planning, and ROI, able to create and execute effective marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent in presentation, project management, and people management, able to lead teams and deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Experienced in NPD, consumer research, and developing others, with a creative approach to market opportunities and product launches
