The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an exceptional Head of Marketing & Sales Science UK, Ireland and Nordics. As a Head of Marketing & Sales Science, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and customer centric engagement plans to drive commercial success across the UK, Ireland and Nordic region.

You will also be part of the Leadership team for North Europe, based at Abbott House in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Minimum 30% of your time will be required for travelling.

What You’ll Do

As a Head of Marketing & Sales Science UKI & Nordics, you will guide, manage and develop the team, and implement commercial and marketing strategies, scientific selling approaches, and tactics successfully, using a thorough understanding of the regional markets, customers and the product offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Direct report/s and cross functional leadership to drive growth and execution excellence.
  • Marketing Expertise: Develop regional marketing plans; execute and supervise marketing and scientific initiatives in the region (including campaigns, advocacy programs, exhibition, symposia, marketing collateral, media, sales tools, digital and PR content); gain market insights (customer segment mapping, product features/benefits, competitor intelligence, market dynamics).
  • Strategic Projects & Business Development: Co-develop growth plans and business cases including lifecycle products management for the region; work on strategic projects; propose actions to maximize product impact.
  • Sales Science: Manage relationships with key customers and associations; scientific and product training.
  • Effective Budget Management of discretionary marketing spend for North Europe.

Required qualifications/Profile

  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Business, and/or Biological Science or related field
  • Extensive industry experience in healthcare marketing teams
  • Point-of Care Diagnostics segment experience prefered
  • Proven ability to deliver goals in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate & collaborate with all key stakeholders at higher and lower reporting levels
  • Customer centricity & strong commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical competency
  • Problem solving attitude; creative, flexible, change embracing
