Are you a passionate storyteller with a flair for lifestyle content? Homes & Gardens is looking for a Head of Lifestyle to lead the charge in creating engaging, SEO-driven content that resonates with our US audience. You'll focus on seasonal trends, food ideas, crafting, homemaking, hosting and all things lifestyle—helping our readers embrace the art of living beautifully.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Editor, you'll be responsible for writing, commissioning and editing content for your section. You'll plan both short-order news stories and longer, research-driven evergreen features around seasonal mindset moments and lifestyle, growing the audience to this content category and monetising this audience through ecommerce integration.

You'll stay ahead of lifestyle trends and translate them into practical, and inspirational content, writing with a clear understanding of US cultural nuances, preferences, and seasonal calendars to engage our readers.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • Experience as a digital content editor, writer, or similar role, ideally within lifestyle media
  • Understanding of search engine optimization and tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar
  • Familiarity with packaging content for platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook
  • A knack for turning everyday ideas into fresh, inspiring, and clickable stories
  • Ability to connect with the values, habits, and needs of an affluent US audience who are passionate about their home and garden
